Evening in Gettysburg

We thought we would post a few more pictures of our evening in Gettysburg...  It was truly a lovely day, and we're not certain the weather tomorrow in DC looks quite as promising...

We had dinner at a local brewpup...
They safely provided a business-school-style 2x2 of the beer selection: on the Y-axis, dark vs. light; on the X-axis, hoppy vs. malty.  Caleb W. and Nate P., you will be safe in knowing that Abigail and I were safely in the malty/light quadrant...

After dinner, we managed to get up to the Eternal Light Peace Memorial in time for sunset.  Amazing views, with lots of pictures here.

The serene beauty of this place, for me, recalls a song we used to sing after campfires at summer camp...
The Golden Day is dying beyond the purple hill
And when the wood is dark yes the nightingale will sing
And soon beyond the meadow the silver moon will swing
The lark that sang at noon day end dusk the wood is still
